We are so excited to welcome our upper-class students back to campus. After an abbreviated Spring 2020 semester, we have missed you! Remember that social distancing is a responsiblity that that we all must assist with. As you move in to the halls, please help the Residence Life staff by following directions, wearing masks, and self-regulating your social distancing.

Details for Move-in

Most upper class students will be moving in between August 21st and August 23rd between the hours of 10:00am and 5:00pm. To ensure a socially distanced arrival we will be staggering arrival times over the course of those three days. Students will be contacted via email in mid-July with their arrival dates and times. Please do not attempt to arrive to campus outside of your assigned arrival date and time, if we work together as a community we can ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

For this year, we are asking students to limit the items they bring to campus to the essentials that can fit into a maximum of three-40 gallon totes, two large suitcases, microfridge, television and backpack. We also strongly recommend that you label all your boxes and belongings with your last name, residence hall and room number prior to arrival. Finally, if you own a hand truck or cart, we suggest you bring it with you to assist in your move-in.

Each student will have three total hours to move-in and set up their room. Please plan to arrive to your assigned building promptly at the top of the hour. When you arrive at your check in location, staff in TEAL will be there to greet you and provide you with instructions about the move-in process.

We encourage you to utilize the suggested schedule below to ensure a smooth and efficient move-in:

  • Hour 1: Remove all items from your vehicle and move it to a long-term parking location
  • Hour 2: Unpack and wipe down all personal items
  • Hour 3: Set up room and depart the building until after 5:00pm

Please note that at the conclusion of the three hour move in window students and families are asked to depart the building until after 5:00pm to allow other students to move in. Families may consider visiting local stores or food options to pick up final supplies, information on local shopping options can be found here. All students and helpers are invited to our "Bon Voyage" locations in St. Vinny's Chapel and the Tent in the McMahon parking lot between 11:00 and 5:00 on regular move in days to receive a blessing for the year from our student ministers, rest, and say goodbye in privacy and comfort.
